Dorothy June "Judy" Blakney

Dorothy June "Judy" Blakney, 74, of Glen, MS, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center - Tupelo. She was born in Tishomingo, MS on February 13, 1943 to the late J.C. "Sam" and Hazel Cagle Holt. Judy attended Chapel Hill Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed sitting on the porch talking with family and friends, fishing, sewing, riding and looking at wildlife, watching hummingbirds and being outdoors. Judy especially loved her family with whom she enjoyed spending time and cooking for. She will be forever remembered in the hearts of those she loved. Visitation is scheduled for 5-9 PM Thursday, August 24, 2017 and from 12 Noon till service time Friday, August 25, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Judy's life will be held at 3 PM Friday, August 25, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Bro. Hal Holt, Bro. Edwin Kennedy, and Bro. Scotty McCay. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jesse Walters, Joey Holt, Tommy Roach, Kevin Blakney, Greg Adams, and Wayne Enlow. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Judy's memory include her husband of 55 years: J.T. Blakney of Glen, MS; her daughters: Linda Davis and husband Larry of Glen, MS and Barbara Blakney and Jimbo Aldridge of Glen, MS; her very special grandson: Cory Davis; her brother: James Holt of Iuka, MS; her sister: Sherry Kugle and husband Gaylord of Iuka, MS; her sister-in-law: Tina Holt Puckett and husband Ernie of Iuka, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
