Dorothy Jean Fortson

Dorotyh Jean Fortson passed away Monday, August 9, 2010 at BEacon Place in Greensboro, NC at the age of 78. She was born May 30, 1932 in Big Creek, MS to the late Leonard M. and Mary Murphree. She Retired from VF Corp. after 28 years of service and was Member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church – Greensboro, NC. The loves of her life included her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and flowers. she is Survived by her Husband of 60 years: Billie Joe Fortson- Greensboro, NC, her Children: Vicki Shirley (Dennis) – Corinth, MS, B. J. Fortson (Rita) – High Point, NC and Susan Brown – Satillo,MS, herGrandchildren: Brian Shirley (Julie), Lisa Wilbourn (Stoney), Charles Brown (Candace), Rachel Oakes (Tim), and Crystal Kuhar (Ken), 13 Great Grandchildren, Sisters: Faye Cheatwood (Happy) – Hayden, AL; Grace Unger – Shawnee, OK Pallbearers will be Richard Tenhet, Harold Patrick, Billy Carl Lipford, Ricky Murphy, Ken Weeden, Jack Stewart She is welcomed to Heaven by Her Grandson: Steve Fortson, a Great Grandson: Jackson Shirley, her Parents: Leonard M. and Mary Murphree, 5 Sisters, 3 Brothers Memorial contributions may be made to Friendly Avenue Baptist Church, 4800 W.
