Doris Wallace Barnes

A Celebration of Life service for Doris Wallace Barnes, 94 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, March 15, 2019 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chewalla, TN. Rev. Lance Pate will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2019 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mrs. Barnes passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her residence in Corinth, MS. She was born February 23, 1925 in McNairy County, TN to Jonas Henderson Wallace and Gillian Wallace. She was a homemaker and a member of Chewalla Baptist Church. She enjoyed caring for her son Johnny for 70 years. Doris is survived by her niece/caregiver, Diane Copeland of Decatur, AL; her brother, Kenneth Wallace (Patricia) of Chewalla, TN; her sister, Charlene Hurley of Corinth,MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Barnes; her son, Johnny Barnes; her father, Jack Wallace; her mother Gillian Wallace; her brother, Dale Wallace and her sisters, Ruth Suggs and Maxine Barnes. Pallbearers will be Wally Hurley, Jarrod Wallace, Russell Messner, Anthony Wallace and Jackie Suggs. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Doris Wallace Barnes.
