Funeral services with Military Honors for Donald “Donnie” Jerry Jacobs, 72, of Rienzi is set for Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – 45 SOUTH with interment in Sardis Cemetery in Rienzi. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 5pm-8pm and Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 12 pm -2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – 45 SOUTH. Pallbearers will be Ryan Jacobs, Hunter Jacobs. Riley Jacobs, Joby Murphy, Timothy Murphy and Sam Murphy. Born August 26, 1949 in Alcorn County, MS, Donald passed away on November 26, 2021 at his home in Rienzi. He was a retired machinist for FMC and of the Baptist faith. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam war. Donald is survived by his wife of 52 ½ years, Brenda Palmer Jacobs; sons, Wesley Mark Jacobs (Paula) and Chris Jacobs (Tiffany); daughter, Haley LaRose; 8 grandchildren, Ryan Jacobs, Hunter Jacobs, Mackenzie Jacobs, Renae LaRose, Cody LaRose, Kristen Holley (Brett), Madison Jacobs, and Riley Jacobs; Great Grandson, Abrahm Holley; brothers, Jessie Jacobs, Bill Jacobs(Helen), Roger Jacobs (Pat), Randy Jacobs (Glenda) and Cecil Jacobs (Jewell); sisters, Helen Green (Mike) and Glenda Galbreath; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Jacobs and his mother, Lottie Potts Jacobs. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Donald “Donnie” Jerry Jacobs.
