Don Nelms, 60, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Clarksville, AR. He was born in Alcorn County, MS on May 16, 1959 and graduated from Corinth High School in 1977. He received his Associates Degree from Northeast Junior College and enjoyed his work as a surveyor. He had worked for the last 12 years for 4H Construction – Cleveland, MS. Don Nelms loved life. All of it - even the little pieces. His love for photography led him to capture those little pieces, to hold them in his hand as well as his heart. Whether he was canoeing down some backwater, smoking a good cigar, going to auctions, or enjoying a steak he’d grilled himself, Don believed in enjoying every moment he was given and never allowing the moments ahead of him to bring worry into whatever he was enjoying in the present. He truly lived stress free. One of the things he enjoyed most was spending time with his family - whether eating Key Lime pie, drinking Crown Royal, or mud riding - as long as they were together, Don was happy. He believed in worshipping in the first cathedral - the forests and rivers that snaked across the world he loved. Don lived as though he had found some piece of Eden buried in his heart - as though this, his world, was perfect. Of course it wasn’t - but it is a little less perfect without him. May we all face life with the same commitment to love and peace that Don had. Don will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2019 and from 12 noon till service time Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home.
