Dewey Olen Burcham passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Magnolia Regional Health Cneter at the age of 83. He was born February 8, 1927 ti the late Jim & Esther Burcham in Alcorn County, MS, he Graduated from Biggersville High School in1946. He retired from Bell South Telephone Company after 38 years service and was also a farmer and landowner. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was Past Master of two Masonic Lodges, Past illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Mississippi, Past Grand Commander of York Rite Masonic Bodies of Mississippi, a member of St. Boniface Red Cross of Constantine, a member of the Holy Order of High Priesthood, a Knight York Cross of Honor and various other honorary degrees of Masonry and He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church.
He was survived by his Sons: Joel Burcham and wife Susan – Corinth, Ms, Jimmy Burcham – Corinth, Ms
Daughter: Janice Burcham Harper and husband Jody – Brandon, Ms
1 Grandchild: Molly Burcham – Corinth, Ms
Brothers: Marvin Burcham and wife Barbara – Brandon, Ms, Billy Burcham and wife Shirley – Corinth, Ms
Sister: Betty LaFaver and husband Roy – Lafayette, La
He is welcomed to Heaven by his Wife of 62 years: Doris Gladys Hughes Burcham
