Deborah Jean (Wimberly) Scruggs

Deborah Jean (Wimberly) Scruggs, 67, of Iuka, MS, passed away on June 26, 2024 at her residence. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was a devout Jehovah’s Witness for over 50 years. Deborah was born March 7, 1957 to Waymon and Bertha Wimberly in Camden, TN and is survived by her husband of 49 ½ years, Robert Timothy Scruggs of Iuka; two sons, Lee Scruggs and Bobby Scruggs of Iuka; her granddaughter, Baylee (and her mother Rachel); her grandson, Brooks; her father Waymon Wimberly of Jackson, TN; her sister, Pat (Wimberly) Parker of Paris, TN; her three brothers, Eldon Wimberly (Bonnie) of Camden, TN, Mike Wimberly (Donna) of Jackson, TN, and Gary Wimberly (Lisa) of Arlington, TN. Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Wimberly; her nephews, Chris Wimberly and Jody Wimberly; her great niece, Kelsey (Wimberly) Yates; her great nephews, Rhett Wooden and Connor Parker; and her brother-in-law, Ralph Parker. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of choice for cancer research.
