David JC Mullins

David JC Mullins, 82, of Rienzi, MS, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Tippah Health and Rehab in Ripley, MS. He was born on September 16, 1935 to the late Luther and Ellie Mullins and attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Ripley. JC was a logger and a farmer and was owner/operator of Mullins Tire Shop for twenty years. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 5-9 pm Wednesday, September 12, 2018 and from 9am till service time Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of JC’s life will be held at 11 am, Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Bro. Billy Wade Studdard, Bro. Gerald Short, and Bro. Doc Shelton. Pallbearers include David Rolison, Jason Jeter, Sammy Nutt, Joe Tatum, Randy Chapman, and Ronnie Hall. Honorary pallbearers include Paul Hall, Jerry Benjamin and Walter Williams. Interment will be in Tippah Shiloh Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor JC’s memory include his son: Benny Joe Mullins of Ripley, MS; his daughters: Brenda Mullins of Ripley and Beverly Rogers of Pecos, NM; his grandchildren: Amanda Mullins Cook (Marshall), Brandon JC Mullins, Haley Rogers, and Anna Newell; 5 great-grandchildren: Carson Cook, Autumn Tidwell, Hunter Cook, Alyssa Cook, and Conner Cook; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Luther and Ellie Mullins; his sisters: Ruby Arnold and Ruthie Thrasher; his brothers: Blanchard Mullins, Leon Mullins, and Dee Mullins.
