David Johnson

David E. Johnson, 72, of Corinth, MS passed away at his residence on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Born in Corinth, MS on November 17, 1950 to the late Lewis and Lucille Duboise Johnson, David will forever be missed by his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for 12-2 pm Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  A celebration of David’s life will follow at 2 pm.  Pallbearers include Mark Johnson, Noah Johnson, Jason Johnson, Kyle Duhrkopf, Casey Bingham, and Jeston Johnson.  Honorary pallbearers include Bobo Eaton, Dexter Johnson, and Josh Gahagan. Interment will be in Community (Bain) Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home - East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor David’s memory include his wife of 47 years, Joann Johnson; his sons, Mark Johnson (Lisa) and Jason Johnson (Jennelle); his grandchildren, Morgan Duhrkopf (Kyle), Noah Johnson (Katelyn), Jeston Johnson, Kody Brown, Stephanie Linton (Scottie), and Jarrett Horner (Vivian); his great grandchildren, Anson Gatlin, Myla Hayes, Anslyee Linton, and Ashlynn Linton; his brothers, O’Neal Johnson, Charlie Johnson (Janet), and John Wayne Johnson; his sisters, Darlene Watkins and Barbara Wilbanks (Troy); other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Johnson; and by his sisters, Wanda Tubby, Glenda Eaton, and Nancy Johnson.
