Funeral services for Dannis Dexter James, 71 of Corinth are set for Monday, November 11, 2024 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - South on HWY 45 South. Visitation will be Monday, November 11, 2024 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - South. Bro. Tracy Quillian will officiate the service. Born February 17, 1953 in Corinth, MS. Mr. James passed from this life on Friday, November 8, 2024 at his home in Corinth. He was a retired truck driver for the 4th district of Alcorn County, MS. Dannis loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed deer hunting, working on 4 wheelers and go carts and hunting arrowheads. He was of the Baptist faith. Dannis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra James; daughters, Becky Lyn Franklin (Allen) and Sandie Faye Null (Junior Switcher); 6 grandchildren, Bruce Sanders, Brittany Sanders (Jordan Smith), Bethany Sanders, Beverly Sanders and fiancé James Hutcheson, Kimberly McCullough and Andrew Null; 10 great grandchildren; honorary son, Showny Boggs (Cristy); brother, Sammy James (Kathy); sister, Brenda Willis (Ed); special friend, Donnie Dunn; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Bryson Sanders; father, Arlin “ Baldy" James; mother, Nellie Faye James; brother, Donnie James and sister, Olida Smith.
