Employment/Occupation: He was a farmer. He was the first Fire Chief of Cairo Volunteer Fire Department and was instrumental in the origin of Cairo Volunteer Fire Department.

He was U. S. Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the VFW and Eastern Star. HE enjoyed gospel blue grass music, farming and Christmas decorating and the visits from his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
