A Celebration of Live Service for Clarence "Buddy" Hatfield, 79 of Corinth, MS, will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 A M at Oakland Baptist Church with interment to follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Dr. Tommy Vinson and Dr. Randy Bostick will officiate the service. He was born December 7, 1938 in Springfield, TN to Clarence Edward Hatfield, Sr. and Lema Ogg Hatfield. Mr. Hatfield passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his residence in Corinth, MS. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and was produce manager for Sunflower and Piggly Wiggly. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed carpentry work. Buddy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Mayo Hatfield of Corinth, MS; his sons, David Hatfield and wife Melissa of Tupelo, MS, Barry Hatfield and wife Teena of Corinth, MS and Chuck Hatfield of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Janie Hatfield Vanderford of Corinth, MS; his 7 grandchildren, Katie Hatfield, Ian Johnson, Hayden Johnson, Matthew Hatfield and wife Morgan, Chloe Hatfield, Cody Vanderford and Clint Vanderford; his great granddaughter, Ella Kate West; his sisters: Floy Graves of Springfield, TN and Clarice Herndon and husband Tom of Cedar Hill, TN; his brothers-in-law, Ray Mayo, Wayne Mayo and wife Betty and Pete Mayo and wife Debbie; his sisters-in-law, Alice Binkley and husband Wayne, Delana Cheatman and husband Bill, Doni Hodge and husband Dave; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Edward Hatfield, Sr.; his mother, Lema Ogg Hatfield and sisters, Mary Margaret Porter, Dorothy Rippie, Ann Rippie, Carol Hatfield and Betty Thurman. Pallbearers will be Matthew Hatfield, Cody Vanderford, Clint Vanderford, Truman Stockdale, Bryan Clausel and Carlton Calvert. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Oakland Baptist Church Men's 2 Sunday School Class. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oakland Baptist Church Building fund, the Youth Wing. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Clarence "Buddy" Hatfield.
