Clara Sue Thompson

Clara Sue “Aunt Sue” Thompson passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at her home in Corinth, MS. She was born December 21, 1919 in Alcorn County, MS to the late T. Z. Felker and Mary Baker Felker. Aunt Sue retired as a shipping clerk from the Peter Paul Candy Factory in California, after 37 years of service. After retirement, Sue and her husband Ben, operated a trucking company. Sue lived in California for about 50 years before moving back to Corinth. Aunt Sue attended Shady Grove United Methodist Church. She was a kind and very gentle person. A Memorial Service will be Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 6:00 P M at Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery. Bro. Rod Taylor will officiate the service. Visitation will be Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 5:00 P M until service time at Shady Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her special nieces and nephews, Sheila Hopkins, Gary and Cathy Ross, Millard and Betty Lothenore and Wesley Ross; her special friend and daughter-in-law, Diane Thompson and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Thompson; her sisters, Lola Mae Morse and Mae Dell Ross; her brothers, Clyde Felker, Wilson Felker, William Felker, Tommy Felker and Herman Felker and her step-sons, Col. Jerry Thompson and Bobby Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oasis Medical Center, 2421 Proper Street, Corinth, MS, 38834 or Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Larry Ross 56 County Road 417 Corinth, MS 38834.
