Chris White, 47, of Burnsville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. He was born in Tupelo, MS on March 3, 1970 and graduated from New Site High School in 1989. Chris loved his family, his church, and especially his Awana class he taught on Wednesday night. Visitation is scheduled for 5-8 pm Friday, March 2, 2018 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Burnsville, MS. A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Elbert Ray Bennett and Bro. Chris Herrington. Interment will follow in Liberty Memorial Cemetery in Booneville, MS. Pallbearers include Rob Bonds, Roger Wright, Robert Harold Brewer, Caleb Bonds, Dan Michael and Lamar Skinner. Honorary pallbearers include the men of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and the young men of Awana. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Chris's memory include his wife: Christy, his three children: Mackenzie, Taylor, and Andrew all of Burnsville; his parents: Dale White (Rhonda) of Iuka and Angela Pounds (Larry) of Marietta; two sisters: Brandie Taylor (Brent) of Marietta and Amanda Akers of Iuka; his brother: Shannon Pounds (Robin) of Marietta; nieces: Jessica Penna (Zach), Addy Akers, Harleigh Hopper, Ryleigh Thorne; nephews: Justin Moreland (Siera), Ben Taylor, Dalton Shackelford, Cayden Clark, Channin Brassfield, Wes Penna, and Tripp Moreland; other relatives and a host of friends.
