Charles Eugene Johnson

A Celebration of Life service for Charles Johnson, 80 of Booneville, MS is set for Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11am at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment in Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 5pm-9pm and Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 10am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Charles better known to his friends and family as "Buddy" was born May 19, 1938 in Corinth, MS. He graduated from Biggersville High School in 1956 and was of the Baptist faith. Buddy was a retired farmer and factory worker. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Barbara Patrick Johnson of Booneville; sons, Donnie Johnson and wife Regayda of Corinth, Robert Johnson and wife Shelly of Corinth and Tracy Johnson and wife Sherry of Rienzi; daughter, Susie Bates and husband Donnie of Corinth; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; step children, Johnny Patrick of California, Calvin Patrick of Booneville and Debra Martin of Tampa, Florida; brothers, Gary Johnson and wife Ruth of Corinth and Stan Johnson and wife Paula of Corinth; sisters, Ellen Hendrix and husband Jamie of Corinth and Wanda Butler and husband Henry of Corinth. He is preceded in death by his wife of 32 years and mother of his children, Monna Joyce Johnson Weaver; father, Robert Beacher Johnson; mother, Dorothy Hitchcock Johnson; sisters, Betty South and Cathleen Battles and stepson, Gordon Patrick. Pallbearers will be Gary Johnson, Scott Johnson, Derrick Johnson, Trent Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Cody Jenkins and Michael Crum. Rev. Donnie Johnson and Rev. Robert Johnson will officiate the service.
