Funeral services for Charles Edward Hutson, 86, of Corinth are set for Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11:30am at Magnolia Funeral Home - EAST with interment to follow in Corinth National Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 5pm-8pm and Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 10:30 am until service time. Bro. James Voyles will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Mike Hutson, Ricky Hutson, Bobby McCord, James Voyles, Gary King, Bobby McCord, Sr. and Hunter Hutson.  Born November 19, 1938 in Corinth, MS., Mr. Hutson passed from this life on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Stoneridge Assisted Living in Corinth. He was a member of Mission of Hope Church. Charles was a retired U.S. Marine with 2 tours in Vietnam. He is well known as a painter by trade in Corinth and the surrounding area. He loved his family and spending time with them and enjoyed fishing, hunting, flea marketing, deep sea fishing, and public speaking. Charles was a people person and enjoyed playing softball in the military. He taught Auctioneering at the University of North Carolina. Charles is survived by his sons, Eddy Hutson (Amy) and Steven Hutson; daughter, Lisa McCord (Bobby); 8 grandchildren, Kelsey Slayton (Justin), Alex Chandler (Blake), Amber Hutson, Kim Waldrop (Chris), Bobby McCord (Brittney), Hunter Hutson, Hannah Hutson and Haylee Hutson; 5 great grandchildren, Eli Chandler, Maverick McCord, Ruby Waldrop, Isaac Waldrop and Madison Waldrop; brother, Robert Hutson (Sylvia) sister-in-law, Doris Hutson ; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nelda Joyce Hutson; daughter, Nelda Ann Hutson; father, Robert Hutson; mother, Mamie Lewis Hutson; brothers, Jasper Hutson (Dollie), Homer Hutson (Gladys), Billy Hutson and Donal Hutson; and his sisters, Inez Jones (Herman), Lucille King (Edmond), Betty Rogers (Clifford) and Josie Mae Shelton (Jim).
