Charles A. “Tom” Hamm, 54, of Burnsville, MS passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center - Iuka. He was born in Alcorn County, MS on November 26, 1964 to Omer J. Carpenter and Myrtle Johnson Hamm and was a member of Burnsville Tabernacle. Tom will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 25, 2019 starting at 5pm until service time Thursday at Burnsville Tabernacle. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 3 pm Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Burnsville Tabernacle officiated by Bro. Danny Keymon, Bro. Briggs King, and Bro. Sheldon Lambert. Pallbearers include Tanner Henry, Clint Smith, Lee Standfield, Chris Standfield, Bo Green, T.D. Hamm, Bud Johnson and Billy Don Hamm Jr. Honorary pallbearers include Ricky Jo Johnson, Ryan Taylor, Larry Bell, Danny Willington, Edward Roach, Dewayne Helton, Dr. Al Flannery, and Nick Wigginton. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Hamm Jr. (Heather) of Burnsville and Dustin Morris (Megan) of Boaz, AL; his daughters: April Hamm (Brad) of Burnsville and Shelby Weathers (Tanner) of Sylacauga, AL; his grandchildren: Allison “Ellie Mae” Jones, Hayden “Little Man” Hamm, Drake “Baby Boy” Lee, Jaylen “Fat Cat” Lee, Jazmyn Smith, Makynlee Morris, Grady Weathers, and Sharon Vandergriff; his brothers: Jackie Hamm (Brenda), Billy Hamm (Pat), Jimmy Hamm (Sandy), Stevie Johnson all of Burnsville; his special sister-in-law: Ruthie Ann Green; his special nephew: Kenny Skelton; his special friend: Ricky Johnson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Omer J. Carpenter; his paternal grandparents: Lash and Delia Carpenter; his maternal grandparents: Denar and Annie Hudson Johnson; his grandson: Baby Hunter Hamm; his mother-in-law: Faye Skelton; his father-in-law: Arlise Thompson; his stepfather-in-law: Dan Skelton; and two special cousins: Rod Skelton and Jesse Skelton.
