Charles Ketchum Garrett

A Celebration of Life service for Charles Ketchum Garrett, 86 of Nesbit, MS, will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2:30 P M at Shiloh Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. Bro. Malcolm Garrett and Bro. Philip Caples will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 1:00 P M until service time at Shiloh Baptist Church. Mr. Garrett passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Desota Healthcare Center. He was born May 14, 1932 in Alcorn County, MS to John Gertis Garrett and Amanda Mathis Garrett. He was a storage checker at Kimberly Clark and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Charles Ketchum is survived by his son, Charles Michael Garrett (April) of Nesbit, MS; 2 grandchildren, Charles Casey Garrett (Amanda) and Carley Elaine Garrett; 2 great-grandchildren, Cooper Nash Garrett and Ellie Monroe Garrett; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Sue Rainey Garrett; his father, John Gertis Garrett; his mother, Amanda Mathis Garrett; his brothers, Wilson Garrett, Arlin Garrett, Dennis Garrett and Prentiss Garrett; and his sisters, Hazel Hardy, Ann Mauney and Katherine Garrett. Pallbearers will be Casey Garrett, Brandon Rainey, Jeremy Rainey and Gary Rainey. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Charles Ketchum Garrett.
