Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career as a postal carrier with the US Postal Service, where he faithfully served for 35 years. After retirement he served the young people of Corinth as a bus driver for the Corinth School District for 12 years. Charles relished the thrill of hunting for civil war relics, and he cherished the moments spent crappie fishing with his wife. An avid reader, he found joy in a good book. Each season he and his wife, Sally cultivated a beautiful garden. Charles enjoyed sharing stories of his upbringing in West Corinth, a place close to his heart, where he learned the values that would guide him throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever inspire those who carry his memory forward.
