A Celebration of Life service for Carolyn S. Franks, 79 of Greenville, TX, will be Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow Oakhill Church of Christ Cemetery. Bro. David Coln will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mrs. Franks passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at her residence in Greenville, TX. She was born August 26, 1944 in Kossuth, MS to Brooks Mathis and Rosetta Coleman Mathis. Carolyn was a member of North Corinth Baptist Church. She worked as a cashier/manager at various convenience stores and was an accountant at Mitchell’s Shirt Factory for many years. She enjoyed watching Alabama football and the Kansas City Chiefs. She loved gardening, taking care of her flowers, cooking and playing catch with her grandbabies. Carolyn is survived by her son, Sam Busby (Kenyon); four grandchildren, Brandyn Kitchens (Crystal), Raechel Whirley, Julianne Busby and Jessica Kitchens; three great grandchildren, Adalynn Kitchens, Remy Kitchens and Ryder Whirley; her twin brother, Kimble Mathis; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Neal Franks; her sons, Brian Kitchens and Brett Kitchens; her father, Brooks Mathis; her mother, Rosetta Coleman Mathis and her brother, Joe Lloyd Mathis. Pallbearers will be Sam Busby, Brandyn Kitchens, James Schoggins, Shaun Dubosi, Travis Thomas and Joshua Cooksey. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Carolyn S. Franks.
