A Celebration of Life Service for Captain Rickey D. Crane, 72, of Corinth, MS will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel officiated by Dr. Leonard Pratt and Bro. Warren Jones. Carlean Parker from US Veterans & Family Honors will offer reflections. Interment with military honors will follow in Corinth National Cemetery. US Veterans & Family Honors members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, June 3, 2024 from 5-8 PM and Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 10 AM till service time at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. Captain Crane was born in Marked Tree, AR on June 24, 1951 to the late Carles Ray and Barbara Jean Crane and passed away at Magnolia Regional Health Center on May 31, 2024. Captain Crane lived a remarkable life filled with service, compassion, and courage. His commitment to serving his country was evident through his military career as a Captain in the US Air Force. He served in Vietnam and Desert Storm, showcasing his unwavering dedication and bravery in the face of adversity. In addition to his professional achievements, Captain Crane was deeply involved in various organizations that reflected his values and interests. He was a proud member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church, where he found solace and spiritual guidance. Furthermore, he served as a past commander of US Veterans & Family Honors, where he advocated for the support and honor of deceased fellow servicemen and their loved ones. His longstanding membership in the American Legion Post #6 further demonstrated his commitment to supporting veterans and their rights. Captain Crane leaves behind a legacy of honor, integrity, and service that will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ann Crane; his sons, Jeremy Crane, Joshua Crane, Jacob Crane (Allie), and Christopher Wildmon (Chasity); his daughters, Anitra Prince (Mike) and Jessica Elrod (Andy); his grandchildren, Alex Crane, Gracie Crane, Ethan Stidham, Seth Stidham, Patrick Stidham, Anna Wildmon, and Gage Wildmon; his great grandchildren, Jackson and Ellie Wildmon; his sister, Linda K. Hatcher (Greg); other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #6 or US Veterans and Family Honors at 21 CR 333 Corinth, MS 38834.
