Brenda Gail Parker

Brenda Gail Parker, 75, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023 at her daughters residence in Corinth, MS. She was born on January 17, 1948 in Ramer, TN to Mancil and Francis Dickey and graduated high school in Guys, TN. Brenda went to work at ITT early on before becoming a beautician. She was a hardworking individual who eventually retired from Caterpillar after 20 years with the IT department.

Brenda loved her family dearly and cherished spending time with them. She enjoyed making Christmas candy every year that was enjoyed by all. Her family would gather together at her house every Sunday to spend meal time together.

Brenda's hobbies included quilting, word search puzzles, cooking, and even mowing her yard. She lived her life as an independent woman who accomplished many things but her proudest accomplishment was the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Shane Parker (Allison); daughter, Shea Rushing (Matt); grandchildren, Bailey Little (Chase), Savanna Barnes (Harley), Parker Rushing, Jacob Jourdan, Zoe Parker; great grandchildren, Linley Jewel Little & Hallie Parker Little with 2 more great grands on the way; brothers, Roger Mancil Dickey (Diane), Justin Lamar Dickey, Brian Scott Dickey (Linda); sisters, Rachel Sue Hite (Hayward), Jo Ann Riley (Ralph), and Ella Faye Bright (Gary); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Parker; her parents, Mancil and Francis Dickey; and her brother-in-law, Warren Johnson.

Services will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home - East in Corinth, MS on June 23rd, 2023 beginning with visitation at noon followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm officiated by Bro. Alan Parker. Pallbearers include Jackie Wayne McDuffy, Wesley Johnson, Craig Johnson, Chad Essary, and Marty Essary.  Interment will follow in Brigman Hill Cemetery.

Brenda will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation.
