A Graveside service for Bonitha Bowen Rast, 89, of Corinth, MS is set for 2:00 PM on Sunday October 25, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery in Guys, TN. Bro. Chuck Hassell and Ethan Estes will officiate the service. Born November 16, 1930 to the late Charlie Eser D. and Zelma Mae Crowe Bowen, she passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at her home in Corinth, MS. Bonitha worked as a dental assistant for 35 years and was a member of Waldron Street Christian Church and Alcorn County Genealogy Society. She will always be remembered in the hearts of her loved ones. Those left to honor Bonitha’s memory include her daughters: Theresa Ann Calhoun Dolaway and husband William of Garland, TX, Shirie Jeanne Rast Lollis Felks of Corinth, MS, Connie Gale Rast Vatalaro and husband Jeffrey of Corinth, MS; grandchildren: Heather Nicole Lollis Whitehead and Megan Leigh Felks Mathis and husband Tyler; 4 great-grandchildren, Jamie Nicole Whitehead, Jeremiah Taylor WHitehead, Gemma Ruth Mathis, Laurel Olivia Mathis; brothers: Delbert Clyde Bowen and wife Marie of Guys, TN, Ernest Darris Bowen of Corinth, MS; sisters, Brenda Kaye Bowen Browning and husband Charlie of Corinth, MS and Bettye Kathryn Bowen York Callis Openbriar of Memphis, TN; sister-in-laws: Dorothy “Dot” Bowen and Dimple Rast Caldwell; several nieces, nephews, others relative and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Johnnie Cuthon Rast; parents: Charlie Eser D. and Zelma Mae Crowe Bowen and her brother: James Howard Bowen. Pallbearers include Joe Booker, Joe Caldwell, Jerry Boatman, Jimmy Bowen, Ricky Bowen and Todd Bowen.
