Bobby S. Butler

Bobby S. Butler, 82, of Rienzi, MS, passed away on May 6, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born in Chewalla, TN on February 16, 1936 to the late Billy and Vassie Hurley Butler. Bobby was self-employed as a drywall finisher for 57 years and was a member of Greater Life United Pentecostal Church. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. A memorial celebration of Bobby's life will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Bro. Jeff Haney. A eulogy will be offered by Elizabeth Fernwalt. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Bobby’s memory include his wife of 32 years: Martha Johnson Butler of Rienzi, MS; his daughters: Elizabeth Fernwalt (Alex) of Collierville, TN, Patricia Ross of Horn Lake, MS, and Pamela Coyle of Olive Branch, MS; his grandchildren: Ashley Byford and Caleb Coyle; his brothers: David Butler (Eva) of Memphis, TN and Harry Butler (Evelyn) of Michie, TN; his sister: Shirley Matlock of Theo, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Billy Butler and Kenneth Butler; his sisters: Lovie Elizabeth Price, Rachel Gray, and Betty Jo Butler; his son-in-law: Allen Ross; and his brother-in-law: Johnny Matlock.
