Bobbie Parvin, 74, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Corinth, MS on April 4, 1945 to the late Herman and Ota Leggett Barker and graduated from Biggersville High School where she was a teacher for 29 years and a cheerleader sponser for 17 years. Bobbie was a faithful Christian who encouraged all the lives she touched and was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church. She loved camping with her husband, Everett, of 55 years traveling the United States. She also enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends and most of all having her grandkids around and watching them in their various activities. She became better known as Ganny to not only her grandkids, but to so many others that she took as her own. One thing you can say about Bobbie is through the years she made a positive impact on so many lives. Bobbie will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019 and from Noon till service time Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be held at 2 pm Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by The Rev. Dr. Nicholas Phillips. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens. Pallbearers include Richard Cook, Darl Parvin, Ronald Rogowski, Tim Mitchell, Zack Rogowski, Hal Cooper and Bragg Hamlin. Honorary pallbearers include Sean Johnson and D.C. Parvin. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Bobbie’s memory include her husband of 55 plus years: Everett Parvin of Corinth; her daughters: Suzanne Mitchell and husband Jerry of Byram, MS, Reyna Barden and husband Glen of Acworth, GA, and Becky Brawner and husband Kenneth of Corinth; her grandchildren: Levi Mitchell (Angela), Morgan Boggs (Lee), Jordan Brawner (Hannah), Haley Barden, Ryan Barden, and Keb Brawner; her brothers-in-law: Gerald Parvin and Scott Parvin both of Biggersville; her sister-in-law: Jane Johnson (Doug) of Rienzi; her lifelong friend: Francis McNair; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law: Cleve and Bernice Parvin; and her sister: Marjorie Cook.
