Billy Ray Young

Billy Ray Young, 80, of Glen, MS passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 at NMMC - Iuka. He was born on February 13, 1945 in Paden, MS to the late Lester and DJ West Young and worked in the banking profession. Mr. Young was a man of many interests. He enjoyed hunting and relic hunting, often exploring the outdoors in search of treasures from the past. It was the joyful gatherings with family that truly filled his heart. He valued the time spent with family and friends, creating memories during get-togethers that will forever remain cherished by those who knew him. Mr. Young is survived by his son, Richard Young (Angie); his daughters, Marcia Jarisch and Paula Smith; his grandchildren, Kristen Parker (Brooks), Kaitlyn Keenan (Dustin), Nick Monzi, Zach Smith (Ashley), Chandler Young (Madeline), and Lauren Young (fiancé – Ty James); his great grandchildren, Jax Keenan, Emmy Keenan, Emma Smith, Clara Smith, Sadie Smith, Rip Parker, and Jackson Young; his sister, Beba Roberts; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Martha Ann Young; and his sister, Dorothy Humber. A private service will be held for the family.
