Private family funeral services for Bro. Billy Thompson, 76, of Booneville, MS are set for Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel with burial at Rock Hill Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Public visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 12pm -1pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel. Born February 13, 1944 in Ocilla, GA., Billy passed from this life on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a retired minister and a member of New Life Church of Jesus Christ. Bro. Billy is survived by his daughters, Sharie Bass and husband Sam of Booneville; Terrie Lynette Price and husband Bill of Clayton, NC and Camie Thompson Joshlin and husband Roy of Booneville, MS; son, William Bruce Thompson and wife Jean of Brevard, NC; 9 grandchildren, Angel Prescott and husband Steve, Sam “Bo” Collier and wife Jennie, R. J. Stone, Regina Dunn and husband Eric, Chris Collier and wife Diana, Timothy Lynn Cornelius (The best caregiver that anyone could ever have), and Latrisha Godsey and husband Scott and 2 other grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gable Thompson and wife Margene of Vero Beach, FL; sister, Carlene Paulk of Vero Beach, FL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Janice Thompson; father, Roan Carl Thompson; mother, Mary Francis Roberts Thompson and a grandchild; Billie Collier. Pallbearers will be Sam Bass, Jabo Collier, Timothy Holloway, Jonathan Holloway, James Borck and Scott Godsey. Rev. Charles Ray Creel and Rev. Merl Dixon will officiate the service.
