A celebration of Life service for Billy Joe Mincy, 83 of Glen, MS, will be Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:30 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with military honors. Interment will follow at Corinth National Cemetery. Minister Terry Smith and John Stevens will conduct the service. Visitation will be Friday, June 22, 2018 from 9:30 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Mincy passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born November 2, 1934 in Alcorn County, MS to Frank and Doreen Maness Mincy. He was a machinist at Tyrone/Dana Corporation and was a member of Strickland Church of Christ. Billy loved woodworking, fishing, watching westerns and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Bernice Mincy of Glen, MS; his sons, Billy Keith Mincy and wife Bennie of Corinth, MS, Kurbie Lee Mincy of Selmer, TN and Kenneth Wayne Mincy of Corinth, MS; 8 grandchildren, Brandon Mincy (Tina), Kimberly Mincy, Nicholas Mincy, Noah Mincy (Sadie), Victor Mincy, Steelie Mincy, Brad Mincy and Holly Mincy Shannon (Sparky): 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edwin Mincy (Donna) Acton, TN, Mickey Mincy (Kathy) of Corinth, MS and Terry Mincy (Linda) of Shiloh, TN; sister, Nelda Street of Southaven, MS; sister-in-law, Mary Sellers (Gerald) of Iuka, MS; mother of Holly Mincy Shannon: Kelly Walters; mother of Nick and Noah Mincy: Molly Mincy; mother of Victor and Steelie Mincy: Bobbie Jo Adams; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Mincy; his mother, Doreen Maness Mincy; his brother, Bobby Mincy; his sister, Lila Lentz and his daughter-in-law, Phyllis Mincy. Pallbearers will be Brandon Mincy, Brad Mincy, Nicholas Mincy, Noah Mincy, Victor Mincy and Kenneth Mincy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Stevens and C. L. Holland. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Pinevale Childrens Home, 1872 County Road 700, Corinth, MS 38834. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Billy Joe Mincy.
