He was a barber for 50 + years owning Glisson Barber Shop for 35 years, then moving to College Hill Barber Shop and later retiring from Dave's Barber Shop. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in Washington, DC where he was a special driver for the Pentagon. There he met the love of his life Florence, whom he was happily married to for 59 years.
