Billie F. Harris

Billie Harris, 84, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Tishomingo Manor in Iuka. She was born in Tishomingo County, MS on October 20, 1933 to the late Claude and Nancy Tigner Whitaker. Billie was a homemaker and a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Billie’s memory include her son: Lannie Harris of Corinth; her daughters: Myra Evetts of Corinth and Judy Mattera of Farmington; her grandchildren: Bridget Conaway, Leonard Evetts, Michell Miller, Shane Evetts, Jason Harris, Chelsea Garcia, Stephanie Santa Maria, Joshua Colston, and Windi White; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her brother: Lloyd Whitaker and wife Betty of Iuka; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Cecil Harris; her son: Larry Harris; her parents: Claude and Nancy Tigner Whitaker; her sons-in-law: Scottie Evetts and Jet Mattera; her granddaughter: Cindy Lu Harris; her brothers: Donald Whitaker and Floyd Whitaker; her sisters: Olene Hart, Montez Epperson, Bonnie Austin, Mildred White; and Linda Smith.
