Billie Sue Dillingham

Billie Sue Dillingham, 92, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Dogwood Plantation of Corinth. Born in Alcorn County, MS on September 9, 1930 to the late Hale and Lucille Johnson DePoyster, she was employed with Alcorn County Department of Human Services and was co-owner and operator of Dillingham Grocery for many years. Billie Sue was a member of Strickland Church of Christ and will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 9:30-11 Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Strickland Church of Christ. A Celebration of Billie Sue’s life will be held at 11 am Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Strickland Church of Christ with interment to follow in Indian Springs Cemetery. Brad Dillingham will officiate the service. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Billie Sue’s memory include her daughters, Jackie Davis and husband John of Paducah, KY and Joy Hild and husband Don of Glen, MS; her grandchildren, Julie Shelton of Fayetteville, NC and Robert Carlton of Oxford, MS; 2 great granddaughters; a special son, Danny Crotts; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Billie Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Dillingham; and her sister, Dorothy Haynie.
