Betty Laughlin, 91, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born on July 10, 1929 to the late Stafford M. and Mary Potts Hale and was a homemaker. Betty was a member of First Assembly of God, the VFW Post 3962 and the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed shopping, playing bingo, dining out and visiting her grandchildren. She loved the ladies in her Sunday school class and will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am till service time Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Magnolia Funeral Home East Chapel officiated by Bro. Ralph Culp. A eulogy will be offered by Charlie Browning and Tamara Germany. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Germany, Timothy Wilson, Will Germany, William Cox, David Langford, and John Beavers. Interment will follow in Corinth National Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Betty’s memory include her granddaughters, Tamara L. Germany (James R.) of Collierville, TN and Allison M. Cox Wilson (Tim) of Ozark, MO; her great grandchildren, William Germany and Carolynne Wilson; her son-in-law, William E. Cox of Corinth; her sister-in-law, Becky Hale of Stockton, CA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Herbert Euel Laughlin; her son, Larry Wayne Laughlin; her daughter, Linda Carol Cox; her brothers, David M. Hale, Raymond P. Hale and Wayne G. Hale; her sister, Mary Ruth Hale; and by her in-laws, Alec Clem and Addie Bell Putt Laughlin.
