Betty Barnett Cornelius

A Celebration of Life service for Betty Barnett Cornelius, 80 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:00 P M at Greater Life united Pentecostal Church with interment at Dogwood Cemetery. Bro. Tommy Callahan and Bro. Charles Cooper will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 12:00 P M until service time at Greater Life United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Cornelius passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at her residence. She was born August 17, 1940 in Corinth, MS to Leonard Cornelius and Audy Beckham Cornelius. Betty was of the Christian faith and was a member of Church of The Crossroads. She loved reading, traveling, shopping, cooking and spending time with her family. Betty is survived by her sons, Barry Barnett and wife Adriana of Corinth, MS and Tracy Barnett and wife Susan of Rienzi, MS; three grandchildren, Megan Barnett, Tristan Nunley, Logan Barnett and wife Chloe; two great grandchildren, Riley Barnett and Madelyn Barnett; her brothers, Steve Cornelius and wife JoAnn of Taft, TN, and Randy Cornelius of Corinth, MS; her sisters, Martha Willett and husband Terry of Corinth, MS, Sue Smith and husband Varnell of Cairo, MS and Judy Byrd and husband Mike of Corinth, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Cornelius; her grandson, Caleb Barnett; her 1st husband, Donnie Ray Barnett; her parents, Leonard Cornelius and Audy Beckham Cornelius; her brothers, Perry Cornelius and Dexter Cornelius and her sister Glenda Isbell. Pallbearers will be Tristan Nunley, Logan Barnett, Mike Byrd, Terry Willett, Anthony Eaton and Jamie Jones.
