Bernice "Granny" Allen

A celebration of life service for Bernice “Granny” Allen, 104, of Corinth, MS is set for 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home – South with interment in Wheeler Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Andy Reeves and Bro. Tracy Stafford will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home – South. Born in Corinth, MS August 20, 1918 to Jeff and Holly Dalton Cook, Mrs. Allen passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at MS Care Center. She was of the Christian faith and a homemaker. She loved crocheting, quilting, word search puzzles, flowers, and being outdoors where she enjoyed mowing the yard and gardening. Those left to honor Granny’s memory include her son, Tommy Allen (Sarah); grandchildren, Tammy Reeves, and Jeff Allen (Bea); 5 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; brother, Howard Cook (Ruth); several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kerry Allen; parents, Jeff and Holly Dalton Cook; brothers, Everett Cook (Bertha), J.T. Cook, and Charles Cook; sisters, Velma Howard (Leon), Myrtle Woodruff (Lawrence), and Ruby Rencher. The family of Mrs. Allen would like to give a special thank you to MS Care Center and Staff for the care they provided for her.
