Belva Jean Harville Taylor, 80, of Glen, MS, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016, at her residence. She was born in Glen, MS on April 2, 1936, to the late Henry Archie Harville and Mamie Louise Oliver Harville and was a member of New Hope Church of Christ. Jean was always an encouraging voice, and took great joy in helping others to reach their potential in the Lord. To this end she served her God and her faith as secretary at the Memphis School of Preaching for 32 years. Her love for God's people was nowhere greater than her love for her family, and she spent many happy hours with them. Jean lived out her love for God's creation by exploring it; she read deeply, traveled widely, and loved endlessly. Her time here was well spent and will be forever remembered. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 PM Tuesday December 27, 2016 at Magnolia Funeral Home and 10 AM till service time Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at New Hope Church of Christ. A celebration of Jean's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at New Hope Church of Christ, officiated by Roy Cox. Interment will follow in New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tom Bjornerud, Ryan Pace, Charlie Dotson, Max Hopson, Michael Litton and Steve McCoy. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Jean's memory include her daughters: Terry Lynn McCoy and husband Steve of Glen, MS, Shirley Rae Bjornerud and husband Tom of Olive Branch, MS; a special family member: Cynthia Potter of Corinth, MS; her grandchildren: Sara Lindley and Michael Litton and wife Magon; eight great-grandchildren: Ryan Pace, Layla Randolph, Kash Litton, Kamp Litton, Kamila Litton, Kalvary Litton, Keegan McCoy and Austin Julen; her brother: Archie Harville and wife Rosa of Corinth, MS; her sisters: Genida Whitfield of Corinth, MS and Nell Dotson of Glen, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Richard Ray Taylor; her brothers: James Harville, Kenneth Harville, Cleve Harville, George Harville, Ashberry Harville (Infant), Ottice Harville (Infant) and Lloyd Harville (Infant); her sisters: Louise Harville (Infant), Betty Jo Harville (Infant) and Emmy Sue Harville (Infant).
