Audra Faye Sharp Lawrence, 89, of Corinth passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at her home. She battled cancer twice in her lifetime, recently for the last year. She lost her husband, Bob of 52 years seven months ago.
She was employed by ITT in the 1960’s and was very proud of her job. She was the co-owner of the White Trolley in the 80’s. She and Bob made many lifelong friends at that time. She was a great cook and loved cooking for family, friends and neighbors. Anyone who was alone at holiday times always has a place at her table. She was strong, hard working and fearless, always putting others before herself. She only gave up trying to care for herself and her beloved dog “Baby Girl” days before she passed away. She was very proud of her family heritage. Faye was a member of East Corinth Baptist Church which she and Bob attended until their health began to fail.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lawrence, her parents, Samuel Irva and Beatrice Carroll Sharp; brothers, Samuel Irva Sharp, Jr., Loy M. Sharp and Carroll Sharp; sisters, Louise Counce and Dorothy Emmons; brothers-in-law, Hershall Counce, James Emmons, J. B. Moss and Dick Lawrence; sons-in-law, Mike Childers and George Huff; sister-in-law, Pam Sharp; granddaughter, Anna Lawrence; parents-in-law, Guy and Elsie Lawrence and nephews, Greg Sharp and Keith Moss.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Sowell and wife Deanna of Germantown and Donnie Lawrence and wife Debbie of Corinth; daughters, Nita Sue Ashcraft and husband Billy of Corinth, Linda Childers of Corinth, Joyce Ann Miles and husband Glen of Walnut and Patricia Huff Schroder and husband Ken of Washington; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters; sister, Virginia Ann Moss of Corinth and sisters-in-law, Sue Sharp of Corinth and Jo Sharp of Jackson, MS.
A memorial service will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2pm with interment in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 1pm-2pm.
Ray Morton, Kindred Hospice Chaplain will officiate the service.
