Auby Jean Butler

Auby Jean Butler, 85 of Whiting, Indiana and formerly of Corinth, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday. August 18, 2024 at the Munster Med-Inn, Munster, Indiana. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Butler, Jr.; loving mother of James (Julie) Butler, Sherry Jean (Raymond) Pacheco and Tina (Russell) Atteberry; cherished grandmother of eight; adoring great grandma of six; dearest sister of Shirley (late John) Lane, Tommy (Karen) Lee, Donna (Dale) Rhodes and the late Tony (late Betty) Lee; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am till service time Friday, August 23, 2024 with funeral services taking place at 11 am. Burial will follow in Carpenter Cemetery, Burnsville, Mississippi. 

Auby Jean Butler was born on November 2, 1938, in Corinth, Mississippi to Hillie and Addie (Burcham) Lee. A longtime resident of Whiting, Auby Jean was an employee of Weiner Foods, Whiting, with over 20 years of service. She enjoyed playing “Bingo”, loved her Boston Terriers and especially spending time with her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Whiting “Gimme Shelter” (for pets) P.O.
