Services for Arthur Vincent McCormick, 77 of Savannah, TN are set for Friday, August 30, 2019 at 2:00pm at Crossroads Union Church in Savannah with interment in the church cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 5:00pm-10:00pm and Friday, August 30, 2019 from 9:00am until service time at Crossroads Union Church in Savannah, TN. Born January 17, 1942 in Michigan City, IN., Arthur passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019 at his home in Savannah. He was a retired maintenance worker for Clayton Homes in Savannah with 24 years of service.
Arthur was a member of Crossroads Union Church and an U. S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Juanita M. Dickey McCormick of Savannah; daughters, Betty S. McCormick Franks and husband David of Savannah and Nora J. Melson and husband Richard of Olive Hill, TN; 10 grandchildren, Daniel Murphy, Jessica Murphy, Amber Melson and Michael, Chevy Melson and Bethany, Trystan Counts, Ariel Melson, Zion Franks, Zeke Franks, Cora Franks and Jennifer Melson; 8 great grandchildren, Joshua Murphy, A. J. Murphy, Curtis Matlock, Tessa Matlock, Colt Matlock, C. J. Melson, Lacie Melson and Waylon Melson; brothers, Larry McCormick of Prosperity, S.C., Donald McCormick and wife Nancy of Colliersville, W. V., Douglas McCormick and wife Brenda of Michigan City, IN.; sisters, Sally Richardson of Michigan City, IN., Mary A. Baumer and husband John of LaPorte, IN and Gail Kolasa and husband Ronnie of Sardis, TN.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Arthur is preceded in death by his daughter, Brigette Murphy Cossey, father, Vincent A. McCormick; mother, Mary Jane Moffit McCormick and sisters, Bonnie Kolasa, Betty Brown, Ruth Underwood, Donna Sutton, Linda Stitchcomb and Debbie Duggan. Pastor Timmy Keen will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Chevy Melson, Zion Franks, Zeke Franks, Daniel Murphy and Mike Melson. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Arthur Vincent McCormick.
