A Celebration of Life service for Argie Junior Morgan, 77 of Corinth MS, will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tracey Quillian and Bro. Robert Winters will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Mr. Morgan passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born January 25, 1943 in Alcorn County, MS to S.A. Morgan and Ruby Lee Crum Morgan. He was the Building Inspector for the City of Corinth for several years and was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. He also worked as a building contractor, Ray King Roofing and the Wurlitzer Co. Junior loved homemade ice cream and working on antique cars. He was a member of Magnolia Antique Car Club. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Family and friends will miss his witty one-liners like when asked “what are you doing? he’d reply, “counting my money. Want me to call you back he’d say “Naw, I won’t be long.” Or “Hey I’m looking for somebody to buy my lunch. You ate yet?” Or when asked “how’s it going?” His infamous reply of “It don’t get no better than this.” Junior is survived by his sons, Tony Morgan and wife Tammy of Corinth, MS and Todd Morgan and wife Angela of Little Rock, Ark.; two grandchildren, Raquel Foster and husband Adam of Corinth, MS and Madeline Morgan of Little Rock, Ark; one great grandchild, Scarlett Foster; his sister, Elizabeth Ann Morgan of Corinth, MS; special friends, Joyce Cox of Corinth, MS and James Brock of Corinth, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Lacy Foster; his father, S.A. Morgan; his mother, Ruby Lee Crum Morgan; a brother, Bobby Morgan and the mother of their children, Martha Faye Morgan. Pallbearers will be Paul Crum, Gene Sanders, Sammy James and J.R. Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Talley, Wayne Arnold, John Marsh and James Brock. In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, 848 Adams Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103 of Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
