Agnes Louise (Tiggie) Davis, 86, of Corinth, Mississippi, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July
17, 2015, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in Alcorn County on June 13, 1929 to the late Jake and Glen Brooks Stewart. She was a retired seamstress with Corinth Manufacturing. After her retirement, she spent a great deal of time in her garden. Her love for beauty extended beyond her beloved birds and flowers and she created beauty herself in the form of quilts. She was a member of Old Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled from 5 until 8 PM on Saturday, July 18, 2015, and from noon until service time on Sunday, July 19, 2015. A celebration of Louise's life will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, officiated by Bro. Michael Lee. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Rienzi. Pallbearers include Ricky Stewart, Tim Stewart, Pete Stewart, Doc Stewart, Rod Shadburn, and Ernie Mitchell. Magnolia Funeral Home is caring for the family. Those left to honor Louise's memory include her son: Charles Rogers and wife, Toni, of Iuka, MS; 2 daughters: Linda Taylor and husband Dennis, of Corinth, MS, and Shelia Prather and husband Franky, of Iuka, MS; 4 brothers: Oscar Stewart of Kossuth, MS, Bobby Stewart of Rienzi, MS, Jerry Stewart, also of Rienzi, and Daniel Stewart, of Iuka, MS; 3 sisters: Bernice Mitchell, of Biggersville, MS; Edna Rodgers, of Biggersville, MS; Alline Hopper, of Walnut, MS; 9 grandchildren: Michael McCann, Tammy Lipford, Lindsey Hastings, Scott Lyle, Randy Lyle, Titania Prather, Sabryna Prather, Courtney Prather, and Stormy Prather;17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren, special friends: Dr. Al Flannery, Hillie Pittman, and Doris Walker; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: Charles Junior Davis; her brother: William Stewart; her sister: Dorothy Stewart; and her nephew: Billy Jean Stewart.
